PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving control device for a vehicle that can suppress deterioration of drivability by executing a driving force limiting process at a proper time.SOLUTION: The vehicle has a shift mechanism and a position detection device that detects an operating position of the shift mechanism. A transmission is brought into a power transmission state when an operation means of the shift mechanism is operated to a driving position, and is brought into a power interrupt state when the operation means is operated to a non-driving position. When it is determined that the non-driving position is shifted to the driving position on the basis of the operating position of the operation means detected by the position detection device (S103: YES), the driving force limiting process for reducing the driving force of an internal combustion engine is executed (S107). When the vehicle is traveling (S104: YES) and a state where all operation positions are not detected is continued for a predetermined period just before it is determined that the operating position of a select lever is shifted from a non-driving position to a driving position (S105: YES), the execution of the driving force limitation process is prohibited.
