Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing trialkylene glycols with a low content of colored ingredients from alkylene glycols obtained by reacting alkylene oxides with water.SOLUTION: After a heating reaction of ethylene oxide with water, an alkylene glycol-containing solution containing alkylene glycols is obtained by removing water through distillation, and a crude triethylene glycol solution is separated from the alkylene glycol-containing solution by distillation. The separated product is subjected to an adsorption treatment by bringing it into contact with an ion exchange resin.
