Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press molding die for reducing canning of a rectangular iron can using a cold rolled steel sheet or a surface treated steel sheet as a raw material.SOLUTION: The press molding die has a wedge-shaped punch 3 and two-divided punches 4 arranged on both sides thereof, and in the wedge-shaped punch 3, an inclined surface 13 inclined 20 to 60.5° with respect to the horizontal surface is formed on both side surfaces so that the width of the front shape increases from the tip end toward the proximal end side, and the punches 4 arranged on both sides have inclined surfaces 14, respectively, inclined substantially the same angles as that of the inclined surface 13 of the wedge-shaped punch 3 on side surfaces in opposition to the inclined surface 13 of the wedge-shaped punch 3.
