Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more stable environment for assembling a fuselage of a large civil aircraft.SOLUTION: A facility for assembling the fuselage of an aircraft is provided with two or more movable stands. Each of the stands supports a fuselage keel structure, in which the panelized fuselage is assembled under a single vertical assembled state. More practically, the keel structure is mounted on the stand (a step 510), the assembling columns are fixed to a floor grid, the columns are set down on the panel of the keel structure (a step 520), a lower panel is mounted to a floor beam of the floor grid and assembled (a step 530), an upper panel is mounted (a step 540) and the upper panel can be mounted as an integral structure and further it can also be mounted while being separated.
