Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balustrade which can be designed in such a manner that a balustrade cap piece is unlikely to be visible from the outside, without changing the shape of a strut.SOLUTION: A balustrade 1 comprises a strut 3 having an approximately rectangular cross section, a strut attachment 4 attached to the strut 3, a balustrade cap piece 7 which is provided in an upper end of the strut 3, and a horizontal lattice 6 which is supported at an outdoor side of the strut 3. The strut attachment 4 includes an outdoor surface counter part 43 opposed to the outdoor surface of the strut 3 and a pair of depth surface counter parts 42 opposed to a pair of depth surfaces 34 of the strut 3, respectively. In the outdoor surface counter part 43, an outdoor-side extension part 44 is provided which extends higher than the pair of depth surface counter parts 42 and the upper end of the strut 3. The horizontal lattice 6 is supported by the outdoor-side extension part 44 so as to be positioned at an outdoor side of the balustrade cap piece 7.
