PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal evaporation device that can suppress the thermal decomposition of a chemical and efficiently evaporate the chemical in a used space.SOLUTION: The thermal evaporation device 1 includes: a heat generation device 2; a hot-melt container 14 for storing the chemical 15 which is liquefied and evaporated by heat; and a chemical storage part 12 including a recess on the heat generation device 2. The hot-melt container 14 is stored in the chemical storage part 12. A hydration thermogenic agent 4 which generates heat and steam by adding water is stored inside the heat generation device 2. A plurality of holes 8a from which the steam is ejected along a liquid surface are arranged at a position equal to or higher than the liquid surface of a liquid chemical on a side surface of the chemical storage part 12 in a state that the liquified chemical by the heat is flown out from the hot-melt container 14 in which the chemical is molten by the heat and is stored in the chemical storage part 12.
