PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing by-produced coal formed articles which can reduce the generation of dusts and have excellent strength.SOLUTION: The method for producing the by-produced coal formed articles is characterized by comprising: a reformed coal production process of mixing coal with a solvent to extract coal ingredients soluble in the solvent, separating the extract into the extraction solution containing the coal ingredients soluble in the solvent and the residues containing ingredients insoluble in the solvent, separating the solvent from the extraction solution to recover the ashless coal, and then separating the solvent from the residues by a distillation method or an evaporation method to recover the powdery by-produced coal in a high temperature state; and a forming process of massively molding the recovered powdery by-produced coal in the high temperature state at a temperature of ≥150°C to obtain the by-produced coal formed articles.
