Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for notching a cold-rolled steel sheet, capable of appropriately preventing a body processing device from slowing down a center line speed and stopping in notching a sheet width end of a sheet joint of a preceding sheet and a following sheet in a cold-rolled steel sheet continuous processing line.SOLUTION: A notching method for the cold-rolled steel sheet continuous processing line comprising a notching device, an inlet-side looper, and the body processing device in that order, includes steps of preventing the body processing device from stopping due to an insufficient notching time by notching at a notcher blade elevating speed to be changed depending on a remaining length of a steel strip of the inlet-side looper.
