Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure even if increasing an opening area of a suction port, and to improve cleaning efficiency by allowing the equalization of suction force before and after the suction port to prevent a situation that cleaning unevenness occurs.SOLUTION: This suction nozzle for a vacuum cleaner includes a body 1 which has a flow passage 3 surrounded by a wall part 2, and wherein the base end is configured as a connection port part 4 communicating with a suction hose of the vacuum cleaner and connected thereto. The lower side of the body 1 is formed with the suction port 5 formed in an elongated shape having a prescribed length along the long direction from the tip. The body 1 is formed so as to satisfy Sm=K×Qm and 1.2≤K≤2.5, wherein Qm is the opening area of the suction port 5 to an optional position m on a termination position b side from a tip position a of the suction port 5; and Sm is the cross section of the flow passage 3 in the optional position m.
