Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equalize voltage shares of a plurality of series-connected semiconductor switching elements without feeding back a voltage deviation amount or a potential amount.SOLUTION: A voltage detection circuit 7 detects voltages of two series-connected semiconductor switching elements A, B by reference to a potential of one semiconductor switching element A, and a comparator 10 compares the voltages of the semiconductor switching elements A, B and feeds back a voltage deviation polarity signal. A timing control arithmetic circuit 12 determines a control direction on the basis of the voltage deviation polarity signal at every switching cycle, adds a fixed amount of controlled variable in the determined control direction to a controlled variable to a gate signal for the next switching cycle, and outputs the resultant controlled variable and holds the resultant controlled variable. A timing control circuit 13 adjusts a timing of change in the gate signal on the basis of the controlled variable.
