Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver powder which, when being produced into a paste, has a suitable viscosity range, is easy to knead, and is prevented from forming flakes; and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The silver powder is characterized in that it has on its surface a coating layer containing two or more surface treatment agents, and that when the cumulative distribution curve is determined by taking as 100% the total volume of the groups measured by a laser diffraction/scattering method, the particle diameter Dcorresponding to a point of 50% on the curve is 0.5-2.0 μm, and the standard deviation (SD) of the volume-based particle size distribution, defined by formula (1): SD=(D-D)/2 is 0.3-1.0 μm. [wherein Dis the particle diameter corresponding to a point of 84% on the curve; and Dis the particle diameter corresponding to a point of 16% on the curve]. |
