Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon-coated manganese lithium phosphate particle, which is produced with a simple and easy method and in which the particle diameter of which is small.SOLUTION: The carbon-coated manganese lithium phosphate particle includes a manganese lithium phosphate particle and a carbon layer formed on the surface of the manganese lithium phosphate particle, and is obtained by heat-treating, at 350°C or higher, a product, obtained by subjecting a manganese compound, a lithium compound, and a phosphoric acid raw material to a solvothermal reaction at 250 to 350°C in a reaction medium including a glycol in a sealed container substituted with an inert gas.
