Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover for a millimeter wave radar excellent in millimeter wave transparency, composed of a material being low not only in relative dielectric constant but also in dielectric loss tangent; and a millimeter wave radar comprising the cover for a millimeter wave radar.SOLUTION: A cover for a millimeter wave radar is composed of a resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin (A) and alumina (B). The alumina (B) is preferably a spherical alumina particle. The thermoplastic resin (A) is preferably a polycarbonate resin or an alloy of a polyphenylene ether resin and a styrene resin. Because it is composed of a material with well-balanced reduction of relative dielectric constant and dielectric loss tangent, the millimeter wave is extremely low in reflection, absorption, and attenuation factor and excellent in transparency. |
