Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member for a direct ignition coil, excellent in insulation properties and rigidity under high temperature.SOLUTION: A member for a direct ignition coil includes a liquid crystalline polyester as a forming material, the liquid crystalline polyester having a repeating unit represented by the following formulae (1), (2) and (3). A content of a repeating unit having an m-phenylene group in the liquid crystalline polyester is 0 mol% or more and 6.5 mol% or less with respect to the total amount of the whole repeating units. (1) -O-Ar-CO-, (2) -CO-Ar-CO-, and (3) -X-Ar-Y- (where, Arrepresents a phenylene group, a naphthylene group, or a biphenylene group, Arand Areach represents a phenylene group, a naphthylene group, a biphenylene group, or a group represented by the following formula (4), and X and Y each represents an oxygen atom or an imino group).
