Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire that ensures bond strength between a coil, which contains tungsten having poor wettability with a brazing filler metal, and a core shaft, and also, achieves improvement in torque transmissibility of the guide wire.SOLUTION: The guide wire 1 includes: a core shaft 2; a coil body 3 that covers the core shaft 2; the foremost end 5 to which the core shaft 2 and the coil body 3 are fixed; an intermediate fixing part 6; and a base-end fixing part 9. The coil body 3 includes: a core wire 31 composed of a single tungsten wire; and a side wire 32 wound around to cover the outer periphery of the core wire 31 and composed of a single stainless steel wire.
