Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the layer of an application liquid to be formed to be thin in thickness and uniform over a lens surface.SOLUTION: The method includes a lens support step S1 to support a spectacle lens with the lens surface exposed, a nozzle arrangement step S3 in which a spray nozzle for spraying an application liquid is made to face a target application position of the lens surface while the application liquid is not sprayed, and an application step S4 in which, while the application liquid is sprayed from the spray nozzle, the target application position is changed to move the spray nozzle along the lens surface. The application step S4 is performed while changing a center line of the spray from the spray nozzle so that a normal line passing through a target application position of the lens surface almost coincides with the center line of the spray from the spray nozzle.
