Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion-resistant multistage vacuum pump in which side frames, casings, rotors and inter-stage partition plates are arranged in such a manner that clearance gaps each between a side frame and a rotor, between a casing and a rotor, and between a rotor and an inter-stage partition plate are respectively formed in a predetermined range of distance, and areas of surfaces of the side frames, the casings, the rotors and the inter-stage partition plates which contact with flowing gas (corrosive gas) are applied with thick Teflon (R) lining wherein parts of the adjacent casings are not applied with the Teflon lining.SOLUTION: For example, the Teflon lining unapplied parts exist in parts of contacting surfaces between a first stage casing 9A and a second stage casing 9B (indicated by a double circle mark), so as to contact metal with metal. Thus, even in fastening and fixing, deformation of the Teflon lining is prevented, and the clearance gap 5 can be held in a predetermined dimension.
