Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network controller capable of performing an efficient power-saving operation in a network system corresponding to WOL that employs an activation method by a Wake Up Frame, and to provide a wake-up control method.SOLUTION: A network controller included in an information processing device has: a packet transmission/reception part transmitting/receiving a packet; and a packet analysis part outputting a wake-up request signal for activating the information processing device from a power-saving state in the case that a data pattern of the packet received by the packet transmission/reception part is accorded with a specific data pattern that is preliminarily set. The packet transmission/reception part periodically transmits a GARP (Gratuitous Address Resolution Protocol) packet by broadcasting when the information processing device is in the power-saving state.
