Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubrication structure of a valve gear achieved in favorable lubrication in a valve gear.SOLUTION: The lubrication structure of a valve gear 6 of an internal combustion engine 1 includes: a cylinder block 41 which extends upward from a crankcase 3 and tilting forward; and a valve operating chamber 70 which is mounted above the cylinder block and formed with a cylinder head 42 and a cylinder head cover 143. The structure includes, on an inner surface of the cylinder head cover, a plurality of oil dropping portions 194a to d at positions vertically opposing to valve stem ends 87a, b or cams 65a, b of the valve gear; an oil discharge port 188 which is located in an upper part of the inner surface of the cylinder head cover and communicates with an oil passage 91 in the cylinder head; a second oil discharge port 201 which is located at a lower side thereof, and an oil passage boss 202 which connects both the oil discharge ports in a vertical direction and connects the oil dropping portions arranged in the vertical direction. Both the oil discharge ports are connected by an oil passage 203, and the oil dropping portions are formed to protrude vertically downward on the oil passage boss.
