Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device capable of appropriately controlling an advance angle of a motor with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device includes a control signal generation part, an upper limit voltage limit part, and an advance angle data generation part. The semiconductor device controls the advance angle of a motor drive signal that drives a motor. The control signal generation part generates a control signal in response to the current flowing in the motor. The upper limit voltage limit part outputs an advance angle control signal that limits the maximum value of the control signal to a supplied upper limit voltage. The advance angle data generation part generates a relation line of the advance angle data representing the advance angle and the advance angle control signal to generate the advance angle data based on the relation line and advance angle control signal. The relation line passes from a lower limit point up to an upper limit point via a change point. In the change point, the advance angle control signal has a change point voltage less than the upper limit voltage and the advance angle data represents the advance angle according to the advance angle setting voltage.
