Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction of a bearing gap produced by a difference in secular change amounts of an inner ring and an outer ring, and to thus prevent occurrence of a spin slip and occurrence of ball separation, in a main shaft supporting bearing of an alternator having a deep groove ball bearing.SOLUTION: In a bearing device for supporting a main shaft of an alternator in which a main shaft 4 of the alternator A is supported by a housing 1 via two deep groove ball bearings 10, 20 on a front side and a rear side, and a pulley 3 is attached to a front side end of the main shaft 4, the deep groove ball bearing 10 on the front side is configured such that materials of the inner and outer rings 12, 11 are different to each other so as to prevent reduction of a bearing gap r caused by a temperature difference of the inner and outer rings 12, 11, and as steel ball separation measures, the bearing gap r is set to -0.2 δr to 0.2 δr with respect to a radial displacement amount δr likely to be produced in the deep groove ball bearing 10 on the front side. |
