Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood crusher with which a crushing bit can be tested easily.SOLUTION: Crushing bits 35 are arranged at different positions on an outer circumferential face of a crushing rotor 32 in a circumferential direction. At the outside in the axial direction of the crushing rotor 32, a laser radiator 36 and a laser light receiver 37 are provided and arranged so that laser light comes along the outer circumference surface in the axial direction of the crushing rotor 32 in order to detect the tip of the crushing bit 35. According to the result, the state is determined whether the crushing bit 35 is in a state where it has difficulty in crushing an object to be crushed or in an abnormal state where it cannot crush the object. When the determination result shows the abnormal state, a corresponding signal for the abnormal state is sent to a Patlite (R) 84 (turning light) or to a display 83b to notify an operator of the abnormal state.
