Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge drying device capable of drying sludge having a high moisture content ratio which is thrown from a charge port provided on an upper part of a drum by applying hot air and rotation of a screw rotating by a motor provided in the drum and discharging the sludge from a discharge port provided on a bottom of the drum.SOLUTION: A screw 2 includes: spiral blades 16 attached to a pipe-shaped center axis having an internal space; a connecting rod 17 mounted on a periphery of the spiral blades 16 which is parallel to the center axis; and the center axis of the screw 2 is supported on bearings 10a and 10b projected from both end surfaces of the drum to raise from a base 5. There are many small holes on the center axis 3 in which hot air is made to flow so that the hot air is jetted from the periphery of the center axis.
