Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable that enables a cable sheath to be easily removed without damaging coated optical fibers while dispensing with an internal notch.SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable 1 includes: a cable sheath 2 for coating coated optical fibers; a protrusion 3 formed on the outer surface of the cable sheath 2 in the longitudinal direction of the cable; and easily-breakable portions 4 formed on both sides of the protrusion 3. The difference between a coating thickness c of the protrusion 3 and a coating thickness e of the easily-breakable portions 4 is 0.9 mm or more.
