Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor the operation of a sintering machine by identifying online accurately the feature quantity of a sintered state which is a parameter expressing quantitatively a physical phenomenon in a sintering layer in the sintering machine.SOLUTION: Measured data (t) of a pallet thermometer 150, which is acquired when the pallet thermometer 150 moves from an ore supply portion to an ore discharge portion of sintered ores, is acquired. Whenever the relevant measured data (t) is acquired, based on the relevant measured data (t), a starting point temperature , an end point temperature , zone transit time t, a zone length l, zone boundary time t, and a zone positionof each zone of an initial raw material zone, a moisture condensation zone, a dry zone, a red heat zone, and a sintering completion zone are derived and displayed.
