Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric booster capable of avoiding power to be applied to a ball screw mechanism and the like in a direction different from an axial direction, and thereby capable of reducing an unusual noise and improving operating characteristics.SOLUTION: The dimensions of respective parts are set such that any one of relative positions among a relative position between a base engaging part 23a and a first engaging part 18b, a relative position between a projection engaging part 7 and a second engaging part 17a, and a relative position between a movable engaging part 16a and a third engaging part 18a cannot be displaced and can be rotated; and other two relative positions can be displaced. Preferably, the displacement path of at least one of the other two displaceable relative positions is made to have a curved line such as an arc.
