Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more reliably control locking of a steering during travel, relating to a steering lock system.SOLUTION: When a car speed sensor 6 fails, a verification ECU20 determines the failure. However, if a value of car speed cannot be correctly determined on the basis of a car speed signal from the car speed sensor 6 because of disconnection of a connection line between the car speed sensor 6 and the verification ECU20 or the like, there is the risk that the verification ECU20 erroneously determines that no failure has occurred and a drive command that is related to lock is output. Even if a drive command that is related to lock is output like this, when a failure determination part 16 determines that the car speed sensor 6 has failed, a determination signal representing the fact is output to a steering lock ECU30. The steering lock ECU30, upon receiving the determination signal representing failure of the car speed sensor 6, does not causes the steering to be in a locked state even if receiving a drive permission signal and the drive command related to the lock. |
