Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power unit that reduces influence of an excessive current during a start of control rod driving to a three-phase AC power source on a primary side of an electric power unit for nuclear reactor control rod control by improving the maintainability of the electric power unit.SOLUTION: The electric power unit includes a plurality of first units 2 which are connected in parallel to a three-phase AC power source 1, and a starting sequence 5 of controlling the first units 2. Each first unit 2 is provided with a plurality of second units 12 which are connected in parallel through a breaker 10 and the second units 12 are provided with a rectifier 14, a capacitor 17 for energy absorption, and a current control circuit 20 which controls excitation of a load 19 connected to the first unit 2. The starting sequence 5 makes an excessive current of the capacitor 17 for energy absorption less than a predetermined current during the start. |
