Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably provide an alloy layer of the predetermined film thickness not only on a horizontal surface but also on a curved surface, to consistently provide the alloy layer consisting of various kinds of metals without any pin hole, and to rapidly and efficiently provide the alloy layer of various kinds of metals on surface of various kinds of base metals by drying binder in a short period of time while using the binder for bonding metal powder.SOLUTION: A metal surface treatment method includes: a temporary filming process in which a thin film 7 is arranged on a surface of a base metal 1, and a metal powder layer 3 is provided between the thin film 7 and the base metal 1 by bonding metal powder 2 different from the base metal 1 with binder 6; a drying process in which the binder 6 is dried by applying energy beam 4 to a surface of the thin film 7 after the temporary filming process without melting the thin film 7; and a beam applying process in which the thin film 7 is melted by further applying the energy beam 4 to the surface of the thin film 7 after drying the binder 6 in the drying process, or the metal powder 2 is melted without melting the thin film, and an alloy layer 5 is provided on the surface of the base metal 1.
