Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radiations detectors with angled surfaces and methods of fabrication.SOLUTION: One radiation detector module (70) includes a plurality of sensor tiles (40) configured to detect radiation. The plurality of sensor tiles have (i) top and bottom edges (42, 44) defining top and bottom surfaces of the plurality of sensor tiles, (ii) sidewall edges (52) defining sides of the plurality of sensor tiles, and (iii) corners (48, 50) defined by the top and bottom edges and the sidewall edges. The radiation detector module also has at least one beveled surface (82, 92, 93, 95) having an oblique angle, and the beveled surface includes beveling of at least one of top and bottom edges, the side wall edges, and the corners.
