Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for monitoring the interior of a continuous annealing furnace, which is capable of directly monitoring the interior of the furnace in operation and imaging and recording the furnace interior, even in a continuous annealing furnace wherein the in-furnace temperature is high.SOLUTION: In the monitoring apparatus, a camera 3 and an imaging device 1 are housed in an adiabatic case 2 for a recording apparatus, an adiabatic case 4 for a magnetic that houses the magnetic 5 and the adiabatic case 2 for the recording apparatus are connected with each other via an adhesive-holding apparatus 9 having a shape of a corrugated plate, an adhesive is applied to a lower surface of the adhesive-holding apparatus 9, and the adhesive-holding apparatus 9 is mounted on a steel sheet. The interior of the furnace can be imaged and recorded by the imaging device 1 and the camera 3 housed in the adiabatic case 2 for the recording apparatus that can be attached by the magnetic force of the magnetic 5 to any part of the surface of the steel sheet S which is a magnetic body. Moreover, a decrease in the magnetic force caused by heat can be suppressed or prevented. In case where the steel sheet reaches a high temperature that is near or higher than the Curie point where the magnetic adhesive force is decreased or lost, the apparatus can be bonded to the steel sheet with a heat-resistant adhesive.
