Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material having low birefringence and heat resistance, a polarization light transmitting optical component excellent in heat resistance, inorganic adhesion, and hardness, and having optical isotropy (low birefringence), and an optical projection device using the material and the polarization light transmitting optical component.SOLUTION: The polarization light transmitting optical component is formed of an acrylic thermoplastic resin containing 50-95 mass% of a first structural unit selected from a methacrylic acid monomer, a methacrylic acid ester and the like; 0.1-20 mass% of a second structural unit selected from an N-substituted maleimide compound such as N-phenyl maleimide; and 0.1-49.9 mass% of a third structural unit selected from the N-substituted maleimide compound such as N-cyclohexyl maleimide compound. |
