PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication control method, capable of expanding communication capacity using a plurality of physical links, even if both a pair of communication devices does not mount an aggregation function.SOLUTION: A router, having a plurality of router ports and a plurality of assigned virtual IP addresses/virtual MAC addresses, receives from an L2 switch a packet having a first virtual IP address/first virtual MAC address set as destination information. Using the first virtual IP address/first virtual MAC address, the router refers to a table provided for managing the relation of correspondence of each virtual IP address and virtual MAC address with each router port, to identify a router port corresponding to the first virtual IP address/first virtual MAC address. The router makes the L2 switch recognize a switch port corresponding to the first virtual MAC address, by reporting the first virtual MAC address to one switch port corresponding to the identified router port out of a plurality of switch ports included in the L2 switch.
