Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new dehydration method which employs an inorganic coagulant post-addition method, and by which the moisture content of a finally acquired dehydrated object is more reduced and the amount of waste materials is also reduced.SOLUTION: The dehydration method for organic sludge performs the following steps in order: a coagulation step of adding a polymer coagulant to organic sludge to form the coagulated sludge; a coagulated sludge pressure filtration step of pressurizing the coagulated sludge to compress and dehydrate the coagulated sludge; an inorganic coagulant addition step of adding the inorganic coagulant to a dehydrated cake formed in the coagulated sludge pressure filtration process; and a mechanical dehydration step of mechanically dehydrating the dehydrated cake to which the inorganic coagulant has been added.
