PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bread conveying system that can reliably position bread, apply even pressure on each of bread pieces, reliably convey the bread, and obtain bread pieces having a predetermined thickness and shape.SOLUTION: The bread conveying system includes: a bread conveying device 109 having a contacting means 1 having a plurality of pusher members 11a, 11b, 11c that can contact a plurality of intended bread-piece forming parts of bread B that are intended to form a plurality of bread pieces B', and a driving means 2 for moving the contacting means 1 relative to a bread cutting means to pass the bread through the bread cutting means; and a bread transferring means 111 for transferring the bread between a first position for receiving the bread and a second position allowing the plurality of the pusher members to contact the plurality of the intended bread-piece forming parts. When the bread transferring means 111 is in the second position, the contacting means is moved relative to the bread cutting means by the driving means 2 while at least one of the plurality of the pusher members is in contact with each of the plurality of the intended bread-piece forming parts.
