Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear system coefficient estimation method capable of correctly detecting variation in capacitance.SOLUTION: A touch panel controller 3 includes a drive unit 4 which drives capacitances C1-CM in parallel with N M-dimensional vectors, and an estimation unit 5 which obtains the linear sum of the capacitances C1-CM through the parallel driving, and estimates the capacitances C1-CM through inner product operation between the linear sum and the N M-dimensional vectors. The drive unit 4 drives the capacitances C1-CM in parallel in first order of the N M-dimensional vectors, and the estimation unit 5 estimates first estimated values of the capacitances C1-CM through the parallel driving. The drive unit 4 drives the capacitances C1-CM in parallel in second order of the N M-dimensional vectors, and the estimation unit 5 includes an averaging unit 17 which estimates second estimated values of the capacitances C1-CM through the parallel driving, and averages the first estimated value and the second estimated value to estimate values of the capacitances C1-CM.
