Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure for an internal combustion engine that can improve cooling effect around a coolant path which is formed as a branch path which is branched off from a coolant jacket in cast parts, in the internal combustion engine including cast parts subjected to impregnation processing in bodies, and to provide the cylinder block and a method for manufacturing the cylinder block.SOLUTION: Inter-bore cooling channels 22 are formed in inter-cylinder bore regions 21 in the cylinder block 11. The cylinder block 11 is cast and subsequently subjected to resin impregnation processing. Thus, resin which is impregnated into the molded nest 27 and cured seals a leakage path formed of the molded nest 27. A resin film 50 which is formed by the resin impregnation processing is removed from an inner circumferential surface of the inter-bore cooling channels 22. A metal material of the cylinder block 11 is exposed on the inner circumferential surface.
