Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection device having an injection nozzle which is accurately adjusted in valve-opening pressure.SOLUTION: The fuel injection device comprises a body, a plunger pump which is arranged in the body and sucks and pressure-sends fuel, and the injection nozzle 61 which is arranged at the body and injects the fuel. The injection nozzle 61 comprises a nozzle body 62 formed with an injection port 62a, a valve body 63 which opens and closes the injection port 62a, and a spring 67 which energizes the valve body 63 so that the valve body 63 may close the injection port 62a. The valve body 63 comprises a valve shaft 64 arranged with a valve 64a, a locking part 65a locked with the spring 67, and a retainer 65 for holding the valve shaft 64. An insertion hole inserted with the valve shaft 64 is formed at the retainer 65, and a diameter-contracted part 65c is formed at the insertion hole and firmly adhered thereto after the valve shaft 64 is pressure-inserted into the diameter-contracted part 65c.
