Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ringing suppression circuit which allows waveform distortion energy to be consumed with a simple configuration, thereby surely suppressing ringing.SOLUTION: A series circuit of a P channel MOSFET 4 and an N channel MOSFET 5 is connected between a pair of signal lines 3P and 3N. Upon detection of a differential signal level change from high to low, a control circuit 11 simultaneously turns on the P channel MOSFET 4 and the N channel MOSFET 5 for a certain period of time. Thereby, an impedance between the signal lines 3P and 3N is considerably lowered during level transition of the differential signal, and differential signal waveform distortion energy is absorbed by on-resistances of the FETs 4 and 5, thereby suppressing occurrence of ringing.
