PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for catalyst support in which oxidation of catalyst metal is suppressed and a catalyst support supporting catalyst metal having higher activity than catalyst metal produced by a conventional manufacturing method can be manufactured.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method includes a first step of producing intermediate powder of the catalyst support by metallizing catalyst metal through a heat treatment after addition, reduction, and drying; and a second step of feeding water and a reducing solution comprising alcohol with a reducing property to the intermediate powder, placing them in a suspended state, and carrying out filtration and atmospheric drying to manufacture the catalyst support.
