Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of an electrode composition from which an electrode having excellent battery performance can be produced simply.SOLUTION: The production method of an electrode composition containing an electrode active material, a binder and water includes a step for kneading the electrode active material, the binder and water. The binder contains a water-soluble polymer which contains 10-60 mass% of structural unit derived from metallic salt monomer of ethylene unsaturated carboxylic acid, and the total light transmittance of the 2 mass% solution is 90-100%.
