Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that conventionally a complicated circuit is required in order to compensate decline of luminous efficiency.SOLUTION: An image display according to this invention comprises: a substrate; an array of addressable light emitters which are formed on the substrate and include a light emitting layer and electrode layers on both sides of the light emitting layer deposited on the substrate; a drive circuit for driving the light emitters in order to emit light by an image pattern; one, two or more photosensors which are formed on the substrate and include a photosensor layer optically coupled directly to the light emitting layer of the light emitters inside the array in order to detect the light emitted by the light emitters and generate feedback signals in response to the light and electrode layers on both sides of the photosensor layer deposited on the substrate; a feedback control circuit for responding to the feedback signals in order to control the drive circuit; and means for compensating ambient light made incident on one, two or more photosensors. The one, two or more photosensors are individually addressable. |
