Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element and a dye-sensitization solar battery that have excellent photoelectric conversion characteristics such as a conversion efficiency and the like, and an excellent durability, especially at a high temperature, resulting from less deterioration in the photoelectric conversion characteristics after usage over a long time period.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element has a conductive supporting body and a semiconductor layer provided so as to coat a conductive surface of the conductive supporting body. A metal complex dye having a specific ligand and a common adsorbent having an acidic group are supported on a surface of a semiconductor of the semiconductor layer. The acidic group included in the common adsorbent is a sulfonic acid group, or a phosphoric acid group, or a phosphonic acid group, or a carboxylic acid group. (Here, in the case that the acidic group of the common adsorbent is only the carboxylic acid group, the common adsorbent has two or more carboxylic acid groups.) |
