Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor having higher detection performance (for example, detection accuracy, detection sensitivity, response speed or the like), while preventing the gas sensor from being contaminated or damaged due to deposited condensate or impurity of a component contained in a gas (target gas) to be detected.SOLUTION: The gas sensor includes a sensor element that detects property of a gas and/or concentration of a component contained in a gas, and a cover that is formed to cover the sensor element and has an introducing hole for introducing the gas. A guide wall is provided to cover a part of an outer surface of the cover located downstream in a direction of flowing the gas at a predetermined distance.
