Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purifier capable of purifying water polluted with harmful heavy metal ions such as arsenic into safe drinking water with a simple operation that can be done at home.SOLUTION: This heavy metal ion removing device includes a heavy metal ion removing column part 3 filled with a selective adsorbent for heavy metal ions, and selectively removes heavy metal ions in the water to be treated. Also, this device is provided with a sensor part 5 placed with a heavy metal ion sensor making use of a color reaction downstream of the heavy metal ion removing column part 3, and thus the safety of the purified water can be visually confirmed.
