Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that prevents an odor from leaking, can be installed eve on a height-limited ceiling, does not impair operability in assembling or installation, and simplified in structure.SOLUTION: An air conditioner 110 includes: a housing 112 with its upper surface opened; a first section 112A which discharges air sucked from an interior space 106 which is formed in the housing and exhaust an odor to the outside of a room; a ventilation fan 130 arranged in the first section; the heat exchanger 125 of a heat pump 120 arranged in the fist section; a second section 112B which circulates air to interior spaces 102, 104 which are formed in the housing and generate no odor; a circulation fan 140 arranged in the second section; a heat exchanger 123 of the heat pump arranged in the second section; and the compressor 121 of the heat pump arranged laterally inside the housing and outside the first section.
