Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator that provides two ranges of rotary movement and does not have a mechanical lock for defining a limit between the two ranges.SOLUTION: The rotary hydraulic actuator includes a housing that defines a chamber, a first boss, and a port block including a bore communicating with the chamber. The block includes a rotor supply port 50 and a rotor drain port 54 communicating with the bore, and a stator port communicating with the chamber via a stator hole in the boss. The rotor includes a body with an arm extending in a lateral outside direction, a first stub shaft 58 including a base slot penetrating transversely, a first rotor port arranged in a tangential direction with respect to a rotary shaft, and an internal passage mutually connecting the base slot to the first rotor port. The passage in the port block communicates with the bore and interconnects the rotor supply port 50 to the rotor drain port 54 at a first angular position of the rotor.
