PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the mounting rigidity of a saddle bag of a saddle-type vehicle having a step for an occupant.SOLUTION: This saddle bag mounting structure of the saddle-type vehicle comprises: a saddle bag mounting hole 5 formed at a vehicle rear 1; a pillion step 22 mounted to the side face of the vehicle rear 1 with an mounting pin 28; the saddle bag 11 having a claw 16 locked to the saddle bag mounting hole 5; a lock arm 31 which mounts the front side to the side face of the vehicle rear 1, locks the rear side to the saddle bag 11 and has a form different from that of the pillion step 22. The lock arm 31 is mounted to an mounting plate 27 mounted with the pillion step 22 with the mounting pin 28, and the lock arm 31 is extended from the mounting plate 27 to the rear side. By directly mounting the lock arm 31 to the mounting plate 27 in such a manner, an influence of a burden applied to the pillion step 22 is reduced, and the positioning of the saddle bag 11 can further stably be performed by using the lock arm 31.
