PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, when an object placed on a base surface is photographed from above, it is photographed in a state where, for example, a paper surface of a book is curved, so that it is photographed in a distorted state.SOLUTION: A predetermined subject can be placed on a base surface, and photographing on the base surface is performed by a camera unit from a position higher than the base surface. Here, since a camera position detection unit detects a positional relationship between a photographing position of the camera unit and the subject, a camera position-corresponding distortion correction parameter calculation unit calculates a camera position-corresponding distortion correction parameter for converting image data photographed based on the detected positional relationship between the photographing position of the camera unit and the subject into image data obtained by making the photographing position different. Then, an image data distortion correction calculation unit performs conversion into image data obtained by removing distortion generated in the image data based on the calculated camera position-corresponding distortion correction parameter. Finally, an output unit outputs an image in which distortion is removed.
