PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time for recovery and to perform the optimal maintenance work by automatically creating a maintenance procedure manual to various failures of a maintenance object system, promptly determining and contacting an optimal maintenance person for the maintenance work of the failure.SOLUTION: A maintenance support system has: failure analysis means 4 for analyzing failure information to be transmitted from a maintenance object system 2; procedure manual creation means 9 for automatically creating a maintenance procedure manual from failure analysis information analyzed by the failure analysis means 4 and system maintenance procedure information; maintenance person information display determination means 12 for determining an optimal maintenance person based on the failure analysis information, maintenance person work result information, maintenance person schedule information, and maintenance person skill map information; and a maintenance person contact selection section 24 to which the determined maintenance person information is input.
